Inspired by his talent for working with wood and fueled by a desire to work for himself, Michael Goss started his own cabinet making business in 1982.

Working alone in a small garage, he put in the hours and attention to detail needed to produce high-quality hand-crafted cabinets. This dedication to his work soon gained him recognition among area builders and homeowners alike.

In 1989, as Goss Cabinets grew in demand, Michael began hiring full-time employees.

By 1996, the fact that a “Goss Kitchen” was used as a major selling point in home descriptions was a great indicator of how far his business had come.

Each year, Goss Cabinets creates kitchens, baths, bars, mantles, theaters, libraries and more for hundreds of homes and businesses throughout Central Illinois.
